  47.         <text><span class="style6">               Text Viewer v1.0</span><span class="style3">                          Instructions</span><span class="style4">Loading a Document</span><span class="style3">To load a document select "View Document..." from the "Viewer" menu.  You will then be presented a normal open file dialog box.  Just select the text file you would like to import.  This viewer automatically makes a new card for each 25K of characters of a document, so it will read in large documents.</span><span class="style4">Clearing the Text Viewer</span><span class="style3">To clear the text viewer in order to keep the stack size small, just select "View Document..." from the "Viewer" menu and then select "Cancel" from the dialog box.</span><span class="style4">Saving a Document</span><span class="style3">You may also use this Text Viewer to write out text files.  First clear the text viewer (described above), then select "New Card" from the "Edit" menu and start typing.  When you are all done (because of the 30K character limit in HyperCard fields, you'll need to make a new card for each 30K of text) select "Save Document..." from the "Viewer" menu and you will be presented with the normal save dialog box.  Just type in a file name and press "Save".</span><span class="style4">Printing</span><span class="style3">Select "Print Document" from the "Viewer" menu to print out the document.  This will go through all the cards and just print out the contents of the field containing the document.</span><span class="style4">Removing Line Feeds</span><span class="style3">Sometimes text files from those other machines (DOS-PCs) have extra line feed characters in them.  Selecting "Remove Line Feeds" from the "Viewer" menu gets rid of those nasty LFs.</span><span class="style4">Word Count</span><span class="style3">The "Word Count..." item under the "Viewer" menu gives you the ability to get a word or character count of your document.The large field at the bottom of the screen will contain the file name that you selected with the full path.  The Page __ of __ fields are self explanitory.____________________________________________________________________If you find that this text viewer is helpful (or a piece of junk), please drop me a line, I would like to hear your comments.Dirk MarekCIS - 76177,3212AOL - MarekdiProdigy - CRJP87A</span></text>
